The Cutthroat Trout hat has the essential colors of the Cutthroat, with each of the black spots representing the 14 sub-species and the 4 rows representing the geographical groups. The bright red "Half Moon" on the left side of the patch represents the cheek of the trout with the lighter band outside of that signifying the "cut" under the chin these fish are known for.

My cutthroat hat came damaged and was immediately replaced after a quick email. I love the originality of the trout flag/emblem. Also, like a prior person wrote the black under-bill is perfect for cutting down glare. Personally I prefer a 6 panel trucker hat over a 5 but I’m sure will grown on me.

All-time favorite hat

At last! A SnapBack trucker that fits my head! I wear a 7 3/8 - 7 1/2 fitted cap and this hat fits perfectly with all snaps closed. I’m a Colorado native and am tired of seeing my state flag plastered on every possible piece of clothing, so it’s nice to rep our state trout without looking like a touron. The black underbill is clutch for cutting down on glare, more hat makers should take note. Subtle, well made, sharp as hell, and a nice “tip of the cap” to the hands down coolest, NATIVE trout of the American West. Don’t go ruining it.
